Speak Silently: snaps from Blu
Here is the first batch of crowd photo's from the Speak Silently gala, photographed by Blu who has a talent for journalistic photography. Thanks for passing on these beautiful photos!
okay kyah! so i need some help: i'm getting ready to purchase my very first REAL handbag & i need help finding a good all-purpose light brown shoulder bag. I don't want to spend more than 200. is that possible? can you work your magic fashion guru?? love you & can not wait to see you in a few weeks... ps. if you have a shoulder bag that is totally last season, you know i'm always thankful for the hand me downs ;) haha. actually, i'm wearing the dress you sent me now!
hmmm, In the $200 range, I suggest one of these 3 options to find, as you put it, a REAL handbag:
1. 'Hobo' makes beautiful bags in that price range (if you want a brand new bag.
2. OR, you can head to TJ Maxx and peruse their options for handbags. I have seen some beautiful $400 or $500 dollar bags marked down to the $200 dollar range. I'm still kicking myself for not buying one such bag a few years back.
3. Lastly, scout vintage stores for a good quality leather bag. I found a beautiful caramel colored bag last year (for $200) that was vintage. The craziest thing about it, is that Zac Posen made a bag last year that was selling at Neiman Marcus and it was a knock off of this very bag! So, in essence, I had the original and for a much better price.
Personally, I think the last option is most appealing, but any of those will have you sporting an awesome ....excuse me....REAL handbag in no time at all!
